Scottie was invited down to NBC Channel 5 Television Studios in Chicago to be a part of the NBC5 News Today Show.

The reason for Scottie's appearance was to help promote a tropical-theme that was taking place around Chicago that weekend.  In the still frame from the live broadcast shown below, Scottie assists Broadcaster and Reporter Jeanne Sparrow deliver the news from the veranda of the NBC studios in downtown Chicago.
